Sunny Circle Speech
Hi! I am Danielle Dubois, a Speech-Language Pathologist licensed in Maryland and Virginia. I graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park, where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Hearing and Speech Sciences and Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology. I provide teletherapy for language, articulation, social communication, stuttering, and voice needs. I am currently accepting new clients with no waitlist! Aetna and Medicaid insurance are in-network. There are no out of pocket costs for families with Medicaid. I also accept private pay for therapy and caregiver consultations.
Therapy Approach:
I am passionate about creating lessons that are fun and functional, using music, art, games, and clients’ personal interests. I believe in child-centered approaches, neurodiversity-affirming goals, play-based therapy, and trauma-informed care. Everyone has the right to communicate using a method that is accessible to them. I specialize in utilizing augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), such as picture supports, low- to high-tech communication devices, and American Sign Language, to supplement spoken communication when needed. I believe that my clients’ should be represented and celebrated in my lesson materials. Lastly, as a teletherapist, I am proficient in the usage of green screens to make individualized, engaging virtual lessons.
Personal Life:
I love expressing myself with creative outlets. My favorite hobbies are hula hooping, painting, and singing. My a cappella singing group in college helped me meet my wonderful, musical spouse. We are a happy little family with our dog, Sokka.
